Hungarian Food Bank Association

Since our launch in 2005, we have been collecting surplus, edible and salvageable food from manufacturers, retail chains and, since 2024, from the catering sector as well.. We collect the products, which are usually close to their sell-by date or have damaged packaging, free of charge and distribute them to those in need - only transport and storage costs are incurred. This way, a donation of 1000 Ft will help us save and deliver 30,000 Ft worth of food. In 2024, we will have distributed 10,000 tonnes of food donations free of charge to nearly 250,000 people in Hungary. The food will go to families in need, people living in children's homes, people with disabilities, the elderly, the homeless and other groups in need.
