A great Balaton classic that delivers what we love in every new vintage: elegant Riesling character, thirst-quenching balance, roundness and the warmth of the sun. ‘The first Gellavilla vintage was in 1998. We did it without electricity, and I bought the 1000 L barrel for the Olaszrizling from a cooper in Füred. Since then, no two vintages have been the same, and I love them all as they are,’ says Attila Tálos, our colleague and Bortársaság’s founder-owner. The 1799 stone cellar is surrounded by 7 hectares of vines, most planted in 1972 and farmed organically. A well-proportioned, finely crafted wine—neither too much nor too little. Flavor and structure come not from oak or blends, but from old vines, low yields and optimal picking. Fermented in chilled tanks and aged on fine lees until bottling. Product with deposit fee Under the deposit return system in force from 1 January 2024, you are required to pay a mandatory deposit fee at the time of purchase for bottles that have the return logo on them, which fee will be paid back to you if you return these empty bottles in a returnable condition (non-compressed, legible barcode) to a machine or manual return point. You can check the nearest return point to you on the MOHU's or manufacturer's website or in the mandatory deposit return system app. Please note that the discount, if any, does not apply to the drinks' deposit fee.
