Community Forests Foundation

MyForest aims to double the number of forests, and donations will be used to plant community forests in Hungary. The virtual menu is a real support for planting the number of trees you have indicated. The value of the chosen menus is forwarded by foodora to the foundation without any deductions, whereby the number of trees selected is planted by the foundation.

Motivation for the initiative

One of the major causes of global warming is that 2/3 of the world's forests have disappeared since the beginning of industrial civilisation. About 200 trees per capita would need to be planted to double the size of forests, helping to sequester man-made CO2.
